It is assumed that dating will lead to co-habitating, kissing, intimate hugs, sex, children, and marriage.

Very subtle remarks and insults can evolve into pushing, shoving, beatings, and rape. It is important to remove yourself from such a relationship immediately. It is very likely the abuse will continue to escalate the longer you stay in the relationship.
